MORE JUST FAB! Handbags & Shoes!

Hello everyone! Hope your having an amazing day! I have another Just Fab post for you today! I've been completely obsessed with this site for the last few months and just got my latest order in yesterday. I purchased a few handbags and another pair of shoes and again I am totally impressed with the pieces I recieved!

If your not familiar with Just Fab you can find out more about it here!

I've included a few pics of the shoes that I posted about the other day towards the end of this post. I just thought it might be helpful to see how the shoes fit and look on the foot as opposed to just a pic of the shoes. You can check out my other Just Fab shoe post here for more info on those particular shoes!

Please excuse my outfit...I'm max relax today in my yoga pants & tank. It's just one of those days! LOL

Okay...onto the goodies!

THE "BROOKLYN BRIDGE" BAG

-comes in nude (as shown), black, purple & a bright yellow shade
-PVC material
-gold tone hardware

I've been looking for a nice slouchy nude or tan colored handbag for awhile now and when I saw this one I loved it right away! I really like the shape of this bag and all the zippers and gold hardware details. It is a bit larger than I was expecting but that's okay because I usually have a ton of stuff that I carry around with me anyway! The handles are large enough that you can wear it over your shoulder or just hang it over your arm like I'm showing here. The material used (PVC) is pretty soft to the touch and to me it doesn't look too "fake" or cheap and the stitching looks pretty good and sturdy as well. I'm really hard on my handbags so we'll see how well it holds up...I'll keep you posted!

The only thing I'm not really digging is that this bag smells very plastic-y or rubber-y...not sure how to describe it exactly. I'm assuming it's the PVC material used to make the bag. I'm hoping that by leaving the bag open it will air out over the next few days? We shall see! Other than that I think this bag is gorgeous! It goes with everything, it's spacious and stylish!

Back pocket.

There are actually 3 main compartments in this bag. The middle one (shown) and one on each side that can be kept closed with the snap closure...all compartments are a good size.

THE "LAW" BAG

-PVC material
-faux ostrich print
-gold hardware
-also comes in camel, pink, green, blue & beige colors
-comes with a shoulder strap

My pics aren't doing this bag justice! It looks so much nicer in person! The Law bag is a very designer inspired bag and in my opinion a very nicely done version! It's very large and roomy and I think it would be great for travelling or as an overnight bag. It has a beautiful faux ostrich print finish & gold detailing. It also comes with an over the shoulder strap so it's quite versatile. This bag seems to be pretty well made...the stitching is tight and sturdy looking and the hardware is super shinny and unblemished. I really love the way this bag looks...it's classy and stylish and gives you that designer inspired look without having to mortgage your home! LOL

Back pocket.

THE "CAPER" BAG

-man made material
-faux leather look with gold hardware
-also comes in tan color
-comes with a shoulder strap

I really like the shape of this bag. It's spacious but not too large...for me it's the perfect size. I chose to get it in the cobalt blue color because I need to inject some color into my wardrobe and wearing brighter accessories is a great way to do it! I love the way the gold hardware looks against the blue...it's a simple bag but it's really gorgeous! The material feels pretty soft and not fake or plastic-y and again like the others this bag looks like it's pretty well made. The seams are tight and there are no fraying edges or wonky areas. This bag comes with a shoulder strap which I love because I do prefer to wear my bags over the shoulder most of the time.

Love this bag!

Love the color!

NOW FOR SOME SHOES!

THE " VANNA"

-5 1/2" heel & 1 1/2" platform
-runs 1/2 size big
-comes in this deep wine color & a teal shade
-faux patent leather look

LOVE LOVE LOVE! Okay...these shoes are my new favorites! The color is a rich, deep wine Merlot color and they are so incredibly comfortable! The site says they run 1/2 size big but I ordered my size (7) and they fit pretty good. There is a slight bit of room in the shoe but they don't slip off my feet when I walk and I would actually rather have my shoes with a slight bit of room than be too snug. But you can see in the pics that there is a bit of space in the toe area & in the heel but one of those insole pad things would take up that little bit of extra room and make them more snug. The heel is high but because of the platform they are quite easy to walk in. I just think these shoes are sophisticated looking and very versatile! They look great with skinny jeans or a dress...I'm in love! They came in great condition as well...no marks or blemishes on the patent surface which I'm always afraid of when ordering a patent shoe online.

What I really like about Just Fab shoes is that they put allot of cushioning in the soles of their shoes or at least  in the ones I've ordered. It really makes a difference in the feel of the shoe!

So I just thought I'd throw a few pics of me wearing the shoes I featured in my last Just Fab post. You can check that out here for more info on each shoe. I just thought in case any of you are interested in any of these shoes it might help to see them on a foot as opposed to just in a picture.

JUST FAB SHOES!!!

Hello, hello, hello! Hope your are all doing fantastic! I'm finally back...and I've been dying to share with you one of my latest obsessions...Just Fab! If your not familiar with Just Fab it's a monthly shoe subscription service that also offers handbags, jewelry and some clothing. I believe this site was created by Kimora Lee Simons and has celebrity stylists that help design and create the latest looks for all the shoes, handbags and jewelry etc. featured on the site.

HOW IT WORKS

Just Fab costs $39.99 per month with free shipping both ways for those of you who live in the States. Heads up for Canadians...no free shipping for us...boooo! We pay $9.00 for shipping both ways which really blows and almost prevented me from giving this service a try...BUT after looking through the site...I fell in love with so many of the shoe styles I couldn't resist the temptation and just went for it!

Just like allot of the other monthly subscription services you take a short style quiz so that the stylists can select specific shoes/handbags & jewelry that compliment your style. They then fill your showroom with these picks at the beginning of each month. You then have the option of purchasing something from your showroom or from any of the other collections featured on the site OR if you don't see anything you like you can skip the month entirely.

You can cancel your subscription at any time.

THIS IS IMPORTANT

Just Fab is a monthly membership service!!! At the first of each month your showroom will be filled with your new monthly picks. If you don't see anything you like or just don't have the funds that particular month you have the option to skip the month. You have to do this between the 1st and the 5th of each month otherwise your credit card WILL be charged the monthly membership fee of $39.99 and you will receive a credit that can be used for a future purchase.

I know allot of people weren't digging the whole skip the month or your card will be charged aspect of this service but personally I don't really mind that at all. It's the same deal with Jewelmint and I find myself anxiously awaiting the first 5 days of each month to see what my showroom is filled with and if I want to purchase any of the picks or if I want to skip the month.

Just something to consider before signing up!

Okay enough of that...onto the good stuff! The SHOES!!!!!!

THE "ADA"

-faux suede look
-for me it fit true to size
-has a 5 1/2" heel & a 1 1/2" platform
-made from synthetic man made materials

These have to be my absolute favorites from the shoes I've purchased so far! They are extremely comfortable and fit like a glove. The beautiful teal color is absolutely gorgeous and they came in pristine condition! They fit me true to size...I'm a size 7 and ordered a 7 and they fit so nicely...I could wear them all day! Despite the heel height these shoes are easy to walk in probably because of the platform and the chunkier heel which I find makes them feel more stable. The shape of the shoe is really flattering on the foot as well...I am obsessed with these things! LOL The "Ada" comes in this teal shade and also in a nude & bright yellow color as well. They look amazing on and I think they will add a really beautiful pop of color to any outfit!

THE "BARB"

-man made patent material in nude
-fit true to size for me
-5 1/2" heel & 1" platform

I have been looking for a pair of nude patent peep toe heels forever! I saw these and had to go for them! Nude pumps are just a great staple piece to have in your shoe wardrobe...they go with everything and make your legs look incredibly sexy and oh so long! These shoes fit true to size for me and are pretty comfortable. At first I found these shoes to be slightly stiff which can be the case with some man made patent materials but the more I wear them the more they seem to be softening up. These are definitely a shoe that I will get allot of wear from...they are just so versatile!

THE "ALIANNAH"

-faux lizard finish
-runs 1/2 size to full size small (very narrow in the toe area)
-5 1/2" heel & 1 1/2" platform
-made from man made materials

These shoes feel super high! The site says they are a 5 1/2 inch heel but to me they feel more like a 6 inch heel. They took a little practice to get used to because of their height and the fact that the platform is somewhat narrow and is hard to balance on. I've been wearing them around the house and I can finally walk without feeling like I'm going to roll my ankle. The site also states that they run true to size but after reading the reviews I decided to order a 7.5 instead of a 7 because allot of people were saying they were too narrow in the toe area. I'm so glad I ordered up because they definitely would have been way to tight for me. The 7.5 fits me great...at first they were a bit stiff but they are starting to soften up a bit the more I wear them.

I love the way these look on...they make your legs look incredibly long and amazing! They came in 2 colors...a turquoise shade and this "coral" color which I think looks more like a salmon color personally. I absolutely love these shoes even though I they are a bit tricky to walk in!

OVERALL

I'm quite impressed with my Just Fab experience so far! I love the shoes I've ordered and can't wait for my new monthly picks to arrive! I haven't had any sizing issues and the quality has been pretty good so far which I'm always worried about when ordering shoes online. The thing I really like about Just Fab is that their site is easy to use & they include customer reviews on all their products and these reviews REALLY helped me decide on the shoes I wanted to go with and the sizing. The shoes came nicely wrapped in tissue paper and with their own dust bag/storage bag and in a sturdy box. The shipping was pretty good it took my orders approximately a week and a half for to arrive (Canada).

QUALITY???

Just Fab uses all man made materials for their shoes & purses so if your a lover of great quality items this site might not be for you. Although I haven't had any issues as of yet with the quality of my purchases I have read some reviews on the site where some people have had real issues with particular shoes not being made well or coming with scratches or visible glue marks on the shoe...so I highly recommend reading the reviews!

SOCK BUN CURLS/WAVES!

Hello everyone! I'm so sorry I've been so absent lately! Life has been crazy busy but I finally have some time to get this "Sock Bun Curls/Waves" tutorial up for you that I mentioned in my June Favorites post. You can see that here here!

I've been playing around with the whole "sock bun" thing lately and one night I slept with it in and when I woke my hair was very curly, very bouncy and very soft and voluminous! So I've been doing this almost every night because I love the wild, out of control heat free curls/waves it creates!

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

An clean old sock, some scissors and a spray bottle with water in it.

Cut the toe part off an old clean sock.

Roll the sock into a ring or doughnut shape.

Put your hair into a high pony tail on the top of your head. Once your hair is in the pony tail spritz your pony tail lightly with water just to slightly moisten your hair.

This is the tricky part...place the sock ring at the ends of your hair/ponytail and tuck the ends around the sock. Begin to roll the sock down your pony tail...tucking in any stray hairs and spreading the hair out around the sock so that the sock is completely covered with your hair. Keep rolling and tucking the hair under until you get to the top of your head or the base of your pony tail.

Rollin' rollin' rollin'!

Keep rolling!

The bun should stay in place once you reach the top of your head.

Time for bed!

If I was wearing it as a bun I would try to do a neater job but since I'm sleeping in it it's not a big deal if the bun is lop sided or a bit wonky looking!

Because I'm not that great at styling hair...I included the tutorial I watched when I first learned about sock buns. It may give you a better view or idea on how to achieve this look whether your wearing it as a bun or if your going to wear it over night to get the waves & curls.

When you first take the sock bun out it looks kind of crazy! The curls may not be even and some pieces may not have curled in a nice way...but you can always just go in with a curling iron to fix any way ward pieces! Also the curls do tend to drop so don't be alarmed if at first they look super curly and your hair has shrunk up a bit...it WILL drop. To help relax the curls/waves I like to run some smoothing cream through my hair to help drag down the curls and get rid of any fuzzines.

And that's it! It looks different evertime you do it and your results depends on how you roll your bun. If you do it loosely you will have more of a wild wavy look. If you roll it tight your hair will be VERY curly! It takes some practice to roll the bun at first but it gets easier the more you do it!

A quick mention...my hair has a slight natural wave to it and it takes to curling very well...not sure how this would work on hair that is super straight or hard to curl. It's one of those things that you just have to experiment with and see how it works for your hair type & texture!

Overall I think this is a fun way to add some volume & body to the hair...it's heat free so your not damaging the hair and if your into big, crazy, wild, voluminous, bouncy hair like me...than this might be something fun to try!

If you try this let me know how it worked for you!

Have fun with it and thanks so much for reading lovelies!

JUNE FAVORITES!

Hello beautiful people! Hope your having a delightful day! Sorry I've been a bit MIA lately...we've had some company staying with us and I just haven't had any "free" time to blog. But now I'm back and I'm FINALLY getting my "June Favorites" up!

I didn't have a whole lot of favorites this past month and most of them are make up products as well as a fresh and summery scent and an old sock! Haha...read on to see what THAT'S all about! LOL

BENEFIT "10" BRONZER/HIGHLIGHTING POWDER

Love this stuff! The bronzer has just the perfect amount of shimmer in it...it makes my skin glow without looking too sparkly and gives me a healthy looking natural sun kissed look! The highlighting powder side gives a beautiful sheen to the cheek bones...that's where I've been using it lately!

GUERLAIN "4 SHADES EYESHADOW" IN #441 BRUN MORDORE

This was a gift that my hubby got for me last Christmas and I have been using it VERY sparingly ever since because I don't want to run out of it! It's definitely the most "luxurious" make up product I own and unless I get it as a gift again I will probably never own another! Haha!

The shadows are just great basic everyday/natural colors which I absolutely love but you can also create a gorgeous sultry sexy bronzy brown smoldering eye for evening wear as well! The packaging is to die for...so gorgeous...a definite treat! I have been wearing this pallet allot this past month...I need to slow down I'm starting to make dents in the shadows! Oh nooooo! LOL

SMASHBOX HIGH DEFINITION FOUNDATION IN "Light L4"

LOVE this foundation! It gives my skin almost an "airbrushed" finish...it doesn't break me out and doesn't feel heavy or greasy on my skin. I'd say it's about a light to medium coverage and gives me a natural looking satin finish.

L'OREAL TELESCOPIC MASCARA IN "CARBON BLACK"

When I first purchased this mascara I pretty much hated it! I thought the brush was odd and I didn't like the way it looked on my lashes but...since I really hate wasting things I forced myself to use it and I absolutely LOVE this mascara now! Weird...I know! I think I just needed to get use to the brush or something because now I find it makes my lashes look super black...really defines them and they look really long!

STILA LIP GLAZE IN "GRAPEFRUIT" #07

I've always been a fan of the Stila Lip Glaze. The colors are sooo pretty and I love the brush applicator as well. They can be a tad bit sticky but it's not too bad...I find the stickiness keeps them on for longer. This color is just a pretty soft pink shade...great for everyday! It gives my lips a touch of natural looking color and beautiful shine!

LISE WATIER "EYE BROW ESSENTIALS" IN #619 BRUNES

I love this duo. It creates soft and natural looking brows and it can also be used as an eye shadow! Love multi tasking products! I usually use a tiny bit of both shades for my brows...it gives them definition without looking TOO defined...if that makes any sense!

ESSIE NAIL POLISH IN "TOUR DE FINANCE"

I have been obsessed with bright pinks lately! They look great with tanned skin or with lighter skin tones and they just add a fun pop of girly color! I have been wearing this one quite a bit this past month...love it!

"AQUA DI GIOIA" BY ARMANI

This scent is delish! I only have a sample size bottle of it but I am definitely going to have to pick up the full size sometime soon! It's the perfect summer scent...not too heavy or "perfume-y" and it just smells fresh, citrus-y, slightly sweet and crisp! I adore it!

PERFUME NOTES: mint, lemon, aquatic jasmine, peony, pink pepper, cedar, yellow sugar & labdanum.

AND NOW FOR THE OLD SOCK! HAHA!

Okay...let me explain! I have been really into the whole "sock bun" look lately and have been playing around with it with great results! If your not familiar with "sock buns" there are tons of videos on Youtube about it! Not only is it a fabulous way to wear your hair (especially for bad hair days) but if you sleep with the bun in overnight...in the morning you will have the most crazy bouncy soft and voluptuous curls! It takes a little playing around with but it's a great/heat free way to curl your hair!

I think I'm going to do a tutorial on these "sock bun" curls in the very near future!

And that's it!

Enjoy the rest of your day Luvs and thank you so much for reading!
